My Car or Your Car?
This question was actually posed by my friend Pat came to SLO to visit me last year. He asked the exact same question again when we were gonna go eat at Taco Bell. We realized a year ago bout how far we have gotten in life when we can aske each other things like that. Last summer was the year when the both of us got our first cars. it is quite an accomplishment. Only the year before that we were always worrying about who to ride with when we go back home to Stockton or elsewhere. The freedom a car gives you is just great, but along with that freedom comes with responsibilities and financial burden (i.e. insurance, gas, registration, etc.). But overall it is great to be able to go anywhere whenever you want.

Taco Hell
Lat night I had some Taco Bell for a real late dinner. I think it gave me a mild case of food poisoning or something becuase my stomact hurt till 4:30AM. I was afraid I was going to throw up all over the place. I wanted to sleep it of, but my stomach was just feeling too funny to sleep it off. Pat told me this morning that the same thing happened to him. Do I hear lawsuit coming???

Squirrel Fishing
Because of our stomach aches, the plan to go squirrel fishing and getting it on video had to be postponed till a later date. Whenwe get that done I'll post it and get the video up ASAP.

Buying Two Sony Cameras
I finally decided on getting the Sony DSC-P50. I wanted to buy it from Best Buy, but they don't match online prices, but Sears does. Best Buy does match prices of competitors. The reason I want to buy it form Best Buy is beacuse they ofer 0% Financing until next year. With Sears the APR is 21.9%, which is way too much for me. This was the first camera I bought. On to the second...

I came up with a plan to have Sears match it and then I would purchase it there and then bring the reciept for that purchase to Best Buy and have them match that. So I went to Sears and they didn't have any in stock. I was like, "Damn!" but I asked if they can charge me now if I order it then and there. They sure did that for me and i had the reciept that showed the $323.99 price. They didn't have any 128 MB memory sticks and I wanted them to match that too. Afterwards I drove half an hour to Santa Maria because that's where the nearest Best Buy is located.

I got there and had to wait for a while because Lisa (the cute girl from last time) was busy with someone. I wanted her to get the comission because she was really helpful last time. She got her manager to approve the matched price and I asked if they can match the online price for the memory stick and she said that it might be ok. The manager said it was OK but he would have to add shippin onto the lowest price and the lowes I could get it was for $199, which is way better than the $149.99 price tag.

I then went to sears and canceled my order for the camera and told the guy I was really sorry but I got impatient and bought the camera at Best Buy. The sales guy looked a little disappointed. i don't care cause I saved my money. He didn't even come up to me the first time. I went up to him and told him exactly what I wanted.

Best Buy unfortunately didn't have the accessory kit which included a rechargable battery, charger, and carrying case. I went to a couple places and called around, but no one had it. This camera eats up batteries like there is no tomorrow. I couldn't find the kit anywhere so I ordered it online for $64.49 plus tax and shipping. At Best Buy it is $99 plus tax. My camera is almost ready to be used.

Camera Confused and the Digital Decide
I've been pondering recently as to getting a digital camera. I've looked around loosely before but have been looking seriously recently. I think the investment will save me money on film and time in going to the developer, buying film, and especially scanning the pictures. All of the picture i have taken with my APS camera have been scanned, but the scanning process doesn't really get an exact copy into the computer. I figure why not go directly digital. That way there is no quality loss.

After a lot of reseach I decided to go for a Sony Cybershot camera. I looked online to see what different kinds of camera there are and the options. The one I decided on was the Sony Cybershot DSC-P50, a 2.1Megapixel camera. The retail price is $399 for this camera. I went to CNET shopping and found the lowest price to be $323. Sears does price matching and i can easily get it for that price there. I haven't been to BestBuy yet and wanted to go there because they were always advertising things on sale. They also had 0% financinguntil August 2003.

I went into Best Buy yesterday intent on leaving a new digital camera. I was pretty sure it was going to be the Sony Cybershot DSC-P50 2.1 megapixel camera. I walked into the store and looked around first went to the Digital Camera section. I didn't see what I wanted. I only say the Sony 1.5 MP and 3.3 MP cameras. I thought they were out of the 2.2 or no longer carried it. The selection of cameras was pretty small though, or so I thought. I failed to look around the corner at the rest of the cameras. I went to go look at laptop computers before coming back and finding the rest. And I saw it, the one that I was looking for. It wouldn't turn on because hte battery was drained. I started comparing it to the 3.3 MP model and wondered where the big difference was besides the image quality. A manager got someone to help me out, bu that guy obviously didn't know what he was talking about. The only thing he did was compare the text on the price tags. I had already done that. I thought to myself, "enough of this shit, I'll look it up myself." As I started to walk away the Digital Imaging expert asked me if I needed help.

She really knew what she was tlaking about (and she was cute) so I did not mind haging around for a little bit. I asked her the same questions I asked the guy before nad she explained everything thoroughly. She also explained to me that the 3.3 model came with the charger and other things. The 2.1mp camera did not and I would have to buy a kit that included the other things so that I could use the camera. Both cameras came with small emory sticks and I was gonna have to buy a bigger one of those too. On top of that, Best buy has a great deal on the warranty. Only $60 for coverage. At Sears it would be at least $100 or something. I couldn't decide on getting the 3.3 or 2.1 because if I get the 2.1 I would still have to buy a lot of extra stuff and the total would equal the 3.3 MP camera.

All of this confusion blew my mind. I eventually went home without a camera. I am looking at all of the reviews and I think I'll decide within a day or two on which I should get.

Time Travel
I look back at certain things that I have done and regret doing some of those thing. Especially events in whihc I hurt people and damaged relationships. I wish I had a time machine so that I could travel back in time to stop myself or knock myself out and take my place and do things the right way. Would that be possible? Do you remember when Doc Brown stated in Back to the Future that one may create a paradox when you meet yourself which can destroy the fabric of space-time? But anyways i wish I can go back to change things to be fore the beter not. To the people I have hurt I am sorry for what i have one, but there is a lesson here. The fact of the matter is that we can't go back and change. We have to live on and live with our mistakes. Those will always stay in our minds and be with us for the rest of our lives reminding us not to do something similar again.

Being Lazy
I've been feeling so lazy recently. I think it's because of my work schedule. The graveyard shift is really killing me. It' easy to get my body into that time, but getiing back into regular time is harder. I have 2 days where I work that shift, but sometimes 3 or 4, but usually just the 2 days. After those 2 days it takes me the other 5 days in the week to get readjusted, only to get back into the graveyeard shift again.

It's been 20 days since I moved her enad I still haven't sompelted cleaning my room. I'd say it's about 90% done. There are still little things scattered aboiut the floor that I don't know where to put. I'm almost finished though. I think it about a week my floor will be slear before the homely mess starts to build up. At that time it'll be an official organized mess because I'll know where everything is.

As for my website, I've been lazy about updating it. I think I'll have time tomorrow to update a couple things. Nothing major, but some minor things. I need to add a new video that a friend and I made recently about my Heely's shoes. I think I'm also gonna add a section about "whats in my wallet." I scan whatever cards or piecse of paper I currently have in my wallet. I might do some sort of flash for it, but I still need to learn flash. And maybe lower on that pag eI can have more things that have at one time been in my wallet. i'm going to black out my membership numbers and credit card number and addresses on any kind of sensitive material. i just want people to know a little more about me.
