[Brian and Joyce's Apartment, Berkeley, CA] Taking Over Tour Groups As we were people wathching on the steps of Sproul at UC Berkeley, Pat had the idea of taking over a tour group. I'll try to get a video of that up soon. He actually tried to take over 2 tour groups. This was very funny Sony Metreon The Sony Metren is a pretty kick ass place to be. It was bigger than I thought it would be. There is so much cool stuff there. I didn't appreciate that I got carded in the Sony Style store, the second one I went to. Why didn't I get carded in the Playstation store? He said that I have to be 18 to be in the store, so I showed him my ID that said I was 21. I bet he felt dumb. I love seeing all of the technology in there, but the prices were all retail prices. I could find all of that stuff cheaper elsewhere. Theatre Rice Theatre Rice is one of the most funny shows that I have ever seen. I love watching it. That's why I don't mind driving all the way up here to see it. I'll explain more about it on my Operation: TRICE page. Finding Old Classmates At the end of the show we met some of the people. We found some old Commodorks (see previous Blog). We couldn't remember exactly who they were but we're gonna find out. I'll get my elementary school yearbook when I go home for Thanksgiving. posted at 10:48 PM by Super Ben [Brian and Joyce's Apartment, Berkeley, CA] Berkeley People After traveling for 4 hours, Pat and I are finally here. We were talking about people in Berkely on the way up and what we should do tomorrow(or shall I now say later today). In Berkeley being uniques is being normal. People are all hung up on being as different as they can be. If everyone is like that, then haven't they moved form being unique to being normal by following the ways of the crowd? We'll see tomorrow. Pat and I are gonna go people watching on the main walkway to observe UC Berkeley-ans before heading out to San Francisco to check out people there. Strip Clubs On topic Pat and I talked about on the way up was old classmates and what they are doign now. I am still working on the "Commodork" (Commodore'students) page which will be located on my site. We had heard through the grapevine that some people we knew became strippers and are working at a new strip club in Stockton. We'll see come Thanksgiving. I've never been to a strip club before. posted at 1:28 AM by Super Ben Thursday, October 18, 2001 [Home, SLO, CA] Tests Not That Bad After all of that studying the tests weren't that bad. Next time I won't study as much. The tests were a lot easier than I thought. Pat in SLO Pat came down on his way to Berkeley with me so that we could see Theatre Rice. My brother and sister are part of the show. (more on that later) We just got back form eating diner at Farmer's Market. We went to McKlintocks and wanted burgers, but they ran out as we got there. I decided on some ribs but those got crossed out too. We ended up getting huge chili dogs. We're starting to feel the full effects of them now. I hope it won't be a problem while we are driving. Well we're about to head to Berekely. I'll post as soon at we get there. posted at 8:24 PM by Super Ben [Home, SLO, CA] Procrastination and 3 Midterms Don't Mix Here I am typing away at my blog when I should really be studying for my tests. I have a Philosophy test at 9am (about 7 hours away) and I have just began to study. Philosophy is really hard. I kinda/sorta got the hang of it, but then lost it. I'm so confused about metaphysics, epistemology, dialectic, eristic, and so on. I find it difficult to read the english translations of old texts. The translators try to make them all poetic and stuff. That end up making them more confusing. On top of this test I still have a Physics and Biology test. My day is gonna be real long. posted at 2:00 AM by Super Ben Wednesday, October 17, 2001 [Home, SLO, CA] High Tech Notes I impressed most of my classmates today with my high tech note taking. Since I didn't go to my Philosophy class last thursday I needed to get the notes from someone. I asked the girl I was sitting next to to see her notes and then I whipped out my camera. other people nticed and made remars like, "That's why we go to CalPoly!" or "That's the right way to do it!" Melissa is the name of the person whose notes I copied/took pictures of. The guys then started asking me tech questions about my camera. That was a rather good way to start my morning. Buttcrack Having your buttcrack show it totally wrong. With some guys it is somewhat tolerable (a very little), but today I saw a girls buttcrack in class. I like to sit in the back so that I could see everything that's going on. I'm a people watcher and sitting inthe back gives me something to do when I ambored. But anyways about this girl, this wasn't the second time. She wore the same low cut pants last week and one could get the little hint of the crack. It was really gross. She was cute and all, but seeing her ass was a total turn off. posted at 12:58 AM by Super Ben Monday, October 15, 2001 [Home, SLO, CA] Syrus While I was at work today a couple came up to the desk to ask for new keys. I though to myself that the guy looked really familiar. It wasn't until a couple minutes later that I discused this with my workmate and we both realized that it was Syrus from The Real World: Boston. We searched on the internet to make sure and sure enough it was his picture. We found out later that Syrus and Julie were speaking at CalPoly tonight. posted at 10:25 PM by Super Ben [Holiday Inn Express, SLO, CA] Minding Your Own Business I hate it when people talk shit behind your back. It is especially when that story is spread out to other people. At that point it is probably uncontrollable. If there is something that I want people to know I would put it up here on my site. I don't have much to hide, but what little privacy I have is being destroyed by others. I don't go around spreading stories about toher people. This isn't high school anymore. I used to have a problem with that in high school. I have since learned not to talk shit anymore. There is no point to it. People end up getting hurt as is the situation now. My relationship with one person has now been rocked by the actions of another. People need to stop interfering. I have my own life and I want to live it as I see fit. If I fuck up, then it's my bad, otherwise screw it. I'll learn from my mistakes. If anybody else sees something wrong then at least try to tell me. Don't go around spreading shit about me. To the others, "Shut the fuck up and mind your own business!" Tell me what you think. posted at 4:45 AM by Super Ben Sunday, October 14, 2001 [Home, SLO, CA] Making Out In Public I helped out a bit again today at Anime Express. Jason decided to close a little early today. I went to Burger King before I headed home because I wanted a couple more of their new tacos. They're just like the ones at Jack In the Box. They're pretty good, but it's wierd to see those items being offered in a burger shop. One second thought, Jack in the Crack has had them for the longes time. By anyways back to the subject. I walk into the store and the first thing is see is 2 people kissing. It wasn't your regular couple. They were a massive duo locked at the lips for the longest time. I was only looking as I walked towards the counter because they were in my line of site. As I waited in line I was looking at other people and their reactions. The girl behind the counted had a disgusted look. There was this Filipino guy in the back of the store staring right at them. The couple stopped making out when they thought they heard their number called, but realized the mistake and started making out again. Behind me I heard: "Mommy, look! What are they doing?"
"They're kissing. Stop looking and eat your fries."
"Why are they doing that?"
"Turn around and eat...."
