[Home, SLO, CA] Japanese Cell Phones
To the left is a picture my friend Yukari took of her breakfast in Japan. She just got a new cell phone with a camera built in. She can no take pictures and send them off with her cell phone. Japanese technology is so amazing. When I was there last year, I got a pre-paid cell phone. It was smaller and better to use than cell phones here in America. The system in Japan is much more efficient than here in the US. Incoming calls and messages are free. You just have to pay for outgoing calls. The fee is like $20 per month and 5 cents per minute for calls that you make. American always coem up with good ideas, but the Japanese always seem to make it better. When will we see those phones here in the US? I'm guessing a long long time from now. posted at 5:35 PM by Super Ben Friday, November 16, 2001 [Home, SLO, CA] My First OS I finally go around to installing the new Windows onto my system. It went pretty smoothly and my system no feels very stable. I only have one problem with Windows XP. The OS doesn't recognize my ISA SCSI card. I guess it is too old for the OS. Without my SCSI card I won't be able to use my CDR. I anticipated more problems, but it looks like there won't be much more. Microsoft actually did a pretty good job on this one. posted at 6:50 PM by Super Ben Thursday, November 15, 2001 [Home, SLO, CA] Pepsi vs. Coke Are you a Pepsi or a Coke person? Or can you even tell the difference. I sure can. There is definitely a difference in the taste. I like both, but I prefer Pepsi. I've noticed that Coke leaves a gritty substance on your teeth whereas Pepsi does not. I fluctuate between the two. During the summer, I was a Coke person. I think I got sick of having Pepsi. There was always so much at my place. But right now I am a Pepsi person. Do people really care about what they drink? To me they are both Soda. If you are at a place that only serves Pepsi products and you ask for a Coke, they'll automatically assume Pepsi is ok and vice-versa. They're both pretty much the same, a carbonated drink that is filled with caffeine. posted at 10:58 PM by Super Ben Tuesday, November 13, 2001 [Home, SLO, CA] Random Memory When we used to live in Stockton, we used to keep an extra freezer out in the garage. It was packed full of stuff. Filipinos like to stock up on food, especially when it is on sale. Anyways there was a lot of ice in there. We used to get some and make snowballs in the middle of summer. One time my brother was sliding his lips on one of the edges of the shelves in it typing to get hte loose ice off. He ended up getting one of his lips stuck to it. We had to call my mom out and she got him unstuck using warm water. I don't know why this thought popped into my head, but it sure is funny. posted at 9:01 PM by Super Ben Monday, November 12, 2001 [Home, SLO, CA] Doing Nothing The rain made it pretty dreary today. I didn't feel like going out at all. Instead I jsut stayed here all day. It feels pretty good to be at home for a change. you get to do all of those little things that you don't have much time for. I finally got to work on my website after not having much time for it. I feel that this is really getting up and going. I like not being comitted to anything, but when tomorrow comes around, school is going to get a grip on me. posted at 6:41 PM by Super Ben Sunday, November 11, 2001 [Holiday Inn Express, SLO, CA] Calling the Cops Tonight I called the cops cause I decided that tresspassers needed to be taught a lesson. There are a lot of people that hop the fence to get into our pool and spa. Erik, a co-worker of mine, called me when he got home saying that he saw some people jumping the fence as he was leaving. I went outside and saw people in the hot tub kissing up on each other and others in the pool. I didn't feel like asking them myself to get out because I've already done that too many times. I figured that if these people get caught then they would spread the word to other people no to tresspass in our pool. It only says on big, red letters that TRESSPASSERS WILL BE PROSECUTED. Maybe they couldn't read and just decided to jump over the locked fence. posted at 12:19 AM by Super Ben |
