[Holiday Inn Express, SLO, CA] Mexican Food I am now feeling the effects of the Mexican food that I had for dinner. I went out to eat with 3 friends at a restaurant called Pepe Delgados. I think this is teh best Mexican food place in SLO. I think I ate too much and that is why I am feeling the effects now. My plate comsisted of a taco, a \n enchilada, and a tamale with beans and rice. As we were leaving, My friend, Maria, was being hit on by one of the bus boys. his name was Victor and Maria gave him the wrong number and told him that she was going back to Chile the next day. posted at 11:23 PM by Super Ben Friday, February 22, 2002 [Home, SLO, CA] What season is it? By the calendar I would figure that it is February, but by the weather outside, I would think that it is summer. The weather was great today. This is the stereotypical weather that foreigners think is in California the whole time. posted at 1:49 AM by Super Ben Thursday, February 21, 2002 [Home, SLO, CA] Tired as Hell II Here I am again, awake so early in the morning. I actually got up at 4 and sat here in front of my computer the whole morning watching the news. At the Bank Yesterday I was at the bank helping my friend open a new bank account. She totally surprised me. When i usually help a student open a new account, they would only deposit a couple hundred dollars or even a thousand at most, but when I was looking at her travelers checks and something struck me as odd. It didn't hit me for a while, but her stack of travelers checks had an extra zero on them. I would usually see $100 on the traveleres checks, but her stack was $1000, one thousand dollar traveleres checks. She said that she had more at home. The woman had already processed a regular checking account, but when the woman and I realized how much she was going to deposit, we knew that we had to get a better account. The woman didn't mind changing the account after it had already been made, because the bank was going to get a lot of money that day and some more the next day because she left some at home at home. People really do surprise me. posted at 6:41 AM by Super Ben Tuesday, February 19, 2002 [Home, SLO, CA] Tired as Hell I am so tired and my sleep has been irregular. Going to Las Vegas messed me up becuase we stayed up all night while we were there. Yesterday and today I had to nap from 6pm to 9pm just so I could get work done around midnight. Then I took another nap at 4 and got up late for my 7am class. I had to do a speech today also. Everybody liked it, but I got a B. I might be a while till I get back into my regular sleep pattern. New PC I just got the final parts for my new PC. It is being put together as I am typing (I have to wait for Windows XP to finish installing). It's gonna be a bitch to get all of my files and setting from this computer over to the new one. I'm gonna miss this one because we have gone through a lot of stuff together. I had that computer for about 3 years and I have upgraded it so much. I have also had so many problems with it, too. The Pentium II 450mhz chip in it was the fastest for so long; 6 months to be exact. It is still so stable, but I had some money from my tax return and needed to spend it someplace. By building this new PC, I know that the money will go a long way. Just as I am building my new PC, I am also fixing 2 other PCs. My rooms is so messy because of all of the computer parts lying around. So there are 4 computers (or parts of computers) all over my room. Some people come in and are amazed, but others don't know what any of it is. posted at 11:36 PM by Super Ben Sunday, February 17, 2002 [Pat’s Car, Mojave Desert, CA] written at 12:56 on a laptop Operation: NOT Dry in the Desert We’re driving through the desert after a good time in Vegas. There is nothing out here. I lost a little bit of money, but nothing that would hurt me. I got to see my friends and made some new ones as well. Ratsamy came from New York with her friends, Eddy and Carl. Mario came down with Jimmy and his girlfriend, Brooke. I haven’t seen Jimmy in Four years. We actually came down because it was Leslie’s 22nd birthday on the 15th. I brought Pat along as well so we could make a video, but we didn’t get around to doing so. Getting Drunk We all drank pretty much the whole time. Someone was always drunk. Some of us (I won’t mention any names), would wake up and start to drink. AA anyone? And others didn’t drink or drink so much. We did get Pat to drink a little. He doesn’t normally drink, but we "peer pressured" him into drinking while we were having dinner at the Olive Garden. After a couple sips he was a little tipsy. It didn’t help that Jimmy bought us a couple bottles of good wine, but it loosened all of us up. posted at 5:20 PM by Super Ben |
