Shopping Spree
Today I took a trip down to Santa Barbara with my friend Suzuko. She's never been there before so I thought it would be fun to take her there. I had a little money in my pocket and had a little shopping spree for myself. I think this is the first time I have bought clothes for the sake of buying clothes. I've always had to buy clothes cause I needed them (i.e. a sweatchirt becuase it was cold), but this time I really didn't.
Being in that spending mood, I stopped by Best Buy on the way home. I ended up buying several DVDs that I've been meaning to get. I got Shreck, Clerks, Jay and Silent Bob Stike Back, Toy Story and Toy Story 2, and Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey.
I think I'm still in that state of mind. I need to stay away from the computer otherwise I'm gonna order something and then regret it later.
Upset Stomach
I can taste my lunch right now even though I had dinner a couple hours ago. For lunch, Suzuko and I ate at an Italian restaurant in Santa Barbara called Pascucci's. I had a dish called Napoli (they name their dishes after Italian cities) which was a bit of pasta with sundried tomatoes and a slice of halibut. Taht was good. Suzuko had a dish called Firenze (or the city of Florence to non-Europeans). It was a pasta dish with pesto sauce and artichoke hearts.
For dinner we stopped in Pismo Beach and ate at Splash Cafe. The both of us had their award winning clam chowder in sourdough bread bowls. And now I feel it all coming back. I'm starting not to feel so well.

Eating Ribs
Ribs are hella good. I hate it when I eat ribs at Farmer's Market becuase I always forget to bring floss. I hate those little bits of bothersome meat that get in the way of the overall greatness of ribs. I used to bring floss in my backpack a long time ago, but there was a period where I didn't eat ribs and had no need to carry them. There have been countless times tha tI have gone to Farmer's to eat ribs and not have them along. But today I bought 2 ribs and then took them home. I ate in the comfort of home and then got to floss my teeth. I now feel a lit better.

Bright Night Sky
As I was driving home from Magic Mountain, I noticed that there weren't many stars in the sky. I wondered why and then realized that there was a full moon. I guess the moon's light blocked out a lot of starlight.

Correcting Japanese
Yesterday I corrected my friends Japanese. Japanese is a language that I have not yet mastered, yet I had to correct a native speaker. She had the wrong symbols and didn't put the correct ones in. She wrote automatic as ƒI�[ƒg�@and couldn't get the kanji for hayaku, ‚Í‚â‚�@instead of ‘�‚. And also the kanji for ya as in store.She wrote down ƒJƒ�ƒ‰‚₳‚ñ�@instead of�@ƒJƒ�ƒ‰‰®‚³‚ñ�B�@Why do I, a second language learner, have to go out and correct someone that is a native speaker of that language. I know why. She has no common sense!

Onions
I used to hate eating onions, but now I can. I used to avoid putting them in things that I cook, but I did like the flavor so I used onion salt. I could tolerate a little cooked onion, but I totally hated raw onion. At one time I wanted to invent onion juice so that people could get the onion flavor, but not eat the actual vegetable, which was what I didn't want to eat. Like others, I contradicted myself by eating and liking onion rings. I didn't like onions, but I liked onion rings? Go figure. I wasn't the only one that was this way. Now I am able to eat onions, both raw and cooked. It's not that bad anymore. Maybe my palate just grew to tolerate the taste.

Movies
I haven't been watching any movies in the theatres recently. I also have DVDs that I bought and haven't opened yet. But tonight I finally got the chance to watch a DVD that I bought. I got Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure. That is one great movie. It's one of those movies that you don't forget from your childhood. I was able to share it with some others that have never seen it before. They were laughing because Keanu Reeves was so young. I want to go out and get Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey now.
Another DVD I'm waiting for is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze. The first was released, but not the second one yet. Other DVDs that I want to get are Moulin Rouge, Harry Potter, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Clerks, and Shreck.

Leaving Las Vegas
- Diets
If you're in Vegas, throw your diets out the window. It is hard to be on a diet there with all of the buffets around. Not only good food is avalable, but a lot of good desserts as well.
Buffets
Las Vegas buffets are great. For a fairly good price, one can get as much food as they desire. During this trip we went to the buffets at the Luxor and MGM Grand. I prefer the MGM Grand because there is a bigger variety of food. Last time I went, my brunch consisted of Steak, Salmon, Pork Ribs, Crab Legs, Sausages, and Shrimp among other things.
Burger King
I am so sick of Burger King. We went to Burger King once on Friday and then twice today. Three times in a three day span is way too much. Although I like to eat Burger King food, I don't think I iwll be eating there for a while. The first time was cool, but the second time was because there was nowhere else. I stopped there the third time just because it was funny. I knew everyone was going to be sick of it.
Driving
I did a lot of driving this weekend. On Friday, Bill drove for about one hour from San Luis Obispo till north of Paso Robles. I drove the rest of the way to Las Vegas. It was about a six hour drive. It wasn't as bad as I thought. I reached speeds of up to 100 mph going through the desert, but the gusts of winds there kind of scared me becuase they were pushing the van really hard. I slowed down after one gust because I was responsible for the lives of the 12 others in the car.
Unlucky 13
I don't think I had any luck this time. I lost a little bit at the tables there. I know exactly what it was. The number 13 was all around me. First of all, we had 13 people going. At the Luxor, we all stayed on the 13th Floor. The room that I would see when turning into the hallway into my room was room 13-313. My camera had only 13 shots left by the time we arrived at the hotel. I should have taken these omens into consideration before heading oput to the tables. One of us stayed at another hotel and left with way more money than they arrived with.
Singing
I don't like it when people sing songs of which they don't know the words to. But then there are others that have the word in front of them, but sing off key becuase they never heard the songs before. They are hearing it for the first time and singing it as they see fit.
I'm having some problems with others. They are turning out to be different people than I thought. Maybe it was just the atmosphere of the area. People can act too much. They can't tell when enough is enough.
Forgetting Names
Some people never forget names. I am one of those that do. I know faces very well, but sometimes I forget names.I know some people that forget the names of people because they don't really care to remember them. How can one be so selfish as to not try to remember a name. I unfortunately know one of those people. It's a little selfish and I don't like it.
