[Home, SLO, CA] New Old Toy A couple of weeks ago, I recieved a bonus from work. It was a $10 gift card for K-mart. Whoopee! What a great bonus!!! Anyways I headed down to K-mart to see what I could buy. I wanted to get a wireless controller for my Gamecube, but they didn't have any. Then I went down to the DVD aisle and I found a movie that I wanted. It was Hallmark's Snow White. It's based on an earlier, non-Disney, version of the tale. But I still wanted to find something else. I went to the toy aisle to see if there were any cool transformers, but there weren't. I was jsut gonna leave and then I glanced over at the clearance aisle. There was a brightly colored toy that caught my eye. It looked familiar and then I picked it up. it was the Vehicle Force Voltron. I used to have that toy a long time ago and I really wanted to play with it again. So i decided to buy this. I didn't know the price and went to the nearest cashier to price it. To my surprise it was only $10. being so cheap I was thinking of buying the last one. But now I am reliving my childhood though artifacts from the past. posted at 10:16 PM by Super Ben Friday, June 14, 2002 [Holiday Inn Express, SLO, CA] Electronic Toothbrush Today I was at Rite Aid and I saw some Clogate brand electronic toothbrushes for sale at $5.99. I figured that it would be worth it to try out because it didn't cost that much more than a regular toothbrush. This is the kind with the rotating head and massaging bristles. The brush is also replaceable. This is better than getting those $50 ones. I tried it out and I'm really impressed. I still have to brush back and forth but there is less of the brushing to do because the bristles spin and polish my teeth. Now, my lazy butt is motivated to brush cause it is more fun now. The only problem I had with this product is the noise, but that can be easily overcome through repeated use. Other than that, I suggest that we get lazier by adding this effort saving product to our lives. posted at 11:43 PM by Super Ben Wednesday, June 12, 2002 [Home, SLO, CA] Go Lakers I spent my night at Firestone Grill, a burger joint/sports bar. Yeah. The Lakers won, but I would have to say that it was overall a pretty boring game. The last Kings vs. Lakers game was totally what a final game should be. This one was jsut ho-hum. The Lakers didn't even look happy that they won. What's up with that? Mini Parade I was part of a mini parade for the Lakers tonight. I was just driving downtown sitting at a stop sign when I heard this noise coming from the right. I was 3 cars decked out in Laker's gear. I happened to have a Lakers flag on my car so I decided to follow them. We went all the way down one one way street and then turned around and came back on the other all the while hinking our horns and yelling out Lakers!!! That was pretty fun. posted at 11:26 PM by Super Ben Tuesday, June 11, 2002 [Home, SLO, CA] Free Dinner Tonight I went alone to my favorite restaurant, Tsurugi. I don't know how many times I've been there in the last two weeks. Everyone thinks the place is too much for their pockets. As I pulled into the parking lot, I noticed some friends at the door. They were Satoko, Emma, Hiroko (Emma's Mom), and Rick (Emma's Dad). I was surprised because Rick lives in Japan. He comes here once or twice a year. Anyways he invited me to sit with them since I was alone. It was cool to speak with the family. I'm sure that I won't lose touch with them once I leave San Luis Obispo. I was totally prepared to pay for my own dinner, but Rick said it was on him. Thanks very much Rick. posted at 11:51 PM by Super Ben Monday, June 10, 2002 [Home, SLO, CA] No Sleep I haven't had much sleep recently. I've been working, schooling, and watching sports games. I stayed up all night on Saturday to watch the world cup games. Then I went to do some computer work in Los Osos in the morning. I then did more work at another place and more work that I cannot remember. My mind is not working really well right now. I am going to crash after getting this done. World Cup The world cup is pretty exciting. Recently I've been getting into sports. You can say tha tI'm turning into more of a guy. First it was basketball and now this. I don't have a favorite team, but the whole thing is pretty exciting. posted at 12:07 AM by Super Ben |
