Room with a view....
Yuka really likes airplanes so I got a room that faced the LAX airport runway. But this rooms is one of the worst Six Continents hotels that I have ever stayed at. First there was no iron, and next, no coffe machine. The phones were also unplugged, and once I got them in I called for a wake up call that never came. I really can't complain becuase I did get an employee rate, but is that any way to treat someone staying in the hotel. They even had the room pre blocked for me becuase I requested an airport facing view. Had I been a guest that is paying full price, I would be really pissed.. Must have been a shock for them because people usually request rooms away from the airport.

Confused People
I hate dealing with confused people. They don't know what they want. And their anger and frustration seems to rub off onto other people and take down the overall feelings of everyone in the room. Why is it that people think one thing but do another? Their confusion confuses me.

Doing Others' Laundry
Do other peoples laundry is kind of weird. Especially that I'm doing the laundry for my friend Yuka. It's a little strange to be handling unfamiliar clothes, especially underwear. But I suppose it's OK. I got them washed, dried, and folded. She was pretty happy when she got back. I don't know if I'll make it a habit to do my guests laundry, but it's not as bad as I thought.

Airport Parking Ticket
After dropping off some people at the airport, I went back to the car to find a parking ticket there. It was for the amount of $15 because the meter expired. I drove the car there, but left it to someone else becuas eI had to drive the rental car back to the lot. Had I parked the other car in the regular lot, I would have put money into the meter. I have to say that I don't always put money in the meters at the airport, but after this I will always. the thing that sucks is that the people that would pay for it are already on their way back to Japan.

Twix
Twix is such a kick ass candy. My problem is that I always buy Twix and most of the time I end up saving it for later. By the time later comes around, it's already all melted and stuff. but still good nonetheless. I like to eat the caramel off the top first. Then I'll munce the little bit of chocolate left on the cookie, then finally the cookie itself. I really like the cookie. They should come out with jut the cookie part. I don't think I'm the only one with that idea. Since I'm on that subject, can't Oreo come out with just the cookie part. I hate that white icing crap. It tasts like fat and sugar. Twix plain cookies and plain Oreos would make my day.

Fire Alarm
Someone pulled the freakin' fire alarm last night in the hotel around 2:30am. This is the kind of alarm that you cannot sleep through. It is a high pitched screech that would wake up the dead with flashing lights. At that time the hotel was full and almost everyone was sound asleep. We know that someone pulled the alarm because the security guard saw the people that pulled the switch and tried to chase them. The fire dept came and then realized that we didn't have keys to the fire panel, the fire switces, and a master set in the nox box outside. I called the General Manager because she was the only one that would have a set, but on her way down they found a set of skeleton keys in the truck and fixed everything up. The alarm went off a second time becuse they wanted to test the system. I really didn't like that because it would wake up more people. Although the alarm was loud and it went off twice, only one person complained. I explained to them that the FD set off the second one and that they were still here.
