[home, slo, ca] Late Taxi I hate it when we schedule taxis for guests at the hotel and the taxis come really late. We had a taxi scheduled for 6am for a guest because she had to be at the airport by 6:20 to start her shift, but by 6:05 it wasn't there. I called and they assured me that it was on its way. At 6:19 I called again. they told me that it was on the way and it appeared one minute later at the time she had to be at the airport. We had a nice chat while she was waiting. Being a Flight Attendant A possible career change is at hand for me. One of the guests staying at my hotel is a flight attendant. She is based in Utah, but is taking over someone else's shift here. I guess that person went on vacation and this person is covering her. Anyways she gave me a little insight on her job and that the company is hiring. From wha tI told her about me, she told em that this would be the perfect job for me. I like to travel and help out people. I'm already in the service industry and that's a big plus on my part. i went to their website and these are their requirements.
* Must be between 5’0 and 5’8 * Weight in proportion to your height * 2 years college or customer service experience * Must be willing to relocate to any of our 12 domiciles throughout the Western United States posted at 1:58 PM by Super Ben Thursday, October 17, 2002 [home, slo, ca] Parties Unknown I was about to go to sleep tonight when there was a knocking at my door. It was a group of friend saying that my roommate said there was gonna be a party at my place. I never knew about that. And also a third person lives with us and in the living room. I was worried about where he would sleep so I called my roommate. He siad that he was with him and that they were OK with it. I wasn't becuase I have to be at work at 5am. How are they gonna have a party on thursday. Most of the others are students also. They have classes tomorrow. Oh well. posted at 10:49 PM by Super Ben Wednesday, October 16, 2002 [home, slo, ca] Used Newspaper One of my pet peeves is reading a used newspaper. Newspapers are designed so that you know if they are used or not. When the papers are made, a series of small holes are punched in the papers so that the pages don't move and everything stays aligned. It's a kind of seal in my opinion. So everytime you turn the page with a new paper, it is like breaking the seal every time when you have to take the pages apart. Today at work there were no more USA today's left besides the one that the previous person already went through in the back. That really sucked. posted at 11:05 PM by Super Ben Tuesday, October 15, 2002 [home, slo, ca] Laundry Room I hate running into people in apartment the laundry room. I don't know who my neightbors are and I don't want to know them either. They're all wierdos, except for a couple of the girls that live down the way. I tend to do my laundry at weird times so that I don't run into anyone. During peak times people move the laundry of other people if it is in their way. One time I came in and my wet clothes were on top of the dryer. Why didn't the person stick them inside? Some of the clothes were my Army uniform. They should have been intimidated by that. posted at 9:32 PM by Super Ben Sunday, October 13, 2002 [called pat from oakland, ca, posted in santa monica, ca] The Mystery Spot The Mystery Spot is not really a mystery to me. I figured out their optical illusions and most of their little tricks. It was a pretty interesting place though. I wouldn't mind going there again. Winchester Mystery House Theatre Rice at UC Berkeley, but we couldn't get in. We got there a tad late and were too far back in the line. I tried my best to get everyone in, but I had too many people. I was really disappointed. I was about to see a couple friends and my brother, but I didn't get to see my sister. Bi Bim Bap and Boba at the Asian Ghetto After that we went to the DFC (Durant Food Court) a.k.a. Asian Ghetto to get some food. I went and got some korean food from one place and some pearl tea/boba from another place. It;s also been a while since I have seen Asian people. it's feels good to be among them. posted at 12:26 AM by Super Ben |
