Double Feature
I haven't been to the movies in a couple weeks. I wanted to see two movies last night but it was getting late and it was looking like we only had time for one. Fuminori and I had gone to Arroyo Grande to see the 7:15pm showing of Harry Potter, but we had to pick up Sayuri at her house in AG. We were having trouble finding her house. But we finally picked her up and went straight to the theatre.
When we got to the theatre, we found out that the show was sold out. the next showing was 10:15pm. Sayuri had to be home by 10:00 so we had to see something else. The next movie showing that I wanted to see was 8 Mile at 7:45pm. She wasn't allowed by her host father to see the movie becuase she was only 16, but we saw it anyways. We were supposed to be seeing Harry Potter. Oh well...
I thought about buying tickets for the 10:15pm show of Harry Potter to guarantee seats for Fuminori and I, but I wasn't sure that we were going to make it back in time after dropping Sayuri off. 8 Mile was supposed to start at 7:45pm, add some trailer time in there, and then the movie time, and we were guessing it would end at 9:45. There might not be enough time to get back. So we saw just 8 Mile. When that ended, it was time to drop her off.
After dropping her off we headed back to SLO, but I had calle dmy workmate Erik to see what time Happy Potter was playing in SLO. He told me that it was playing at the Fremont at 10:30. It was 10:05pm and I had a hunch on the way past AG that there might still be tickets for the 10:15pm show. i rushed into the parking lot and found a spot near the front and then rushed inside. It ended at about 1:00am, but it was well worth it.

Eating Gold
Earlier tonight, my roommate offered me a Japanese snack. I took it because I was hungry. I was taking my time eating the 2 pieces. They were flavored like ginger snaps. A couple minutes later he called me out and pointed out that there were gold flakes in them. (pic to be posted soon) It's weird to be eating gold. This is a snack for the rich.

Minimalizing
Over the last couple of weeks, I have decided to substantially cut down on my spending. I am spending way too much money and the allocation of my funds is not working out. I don't need to buy anymore DVDs. I've already got a big collection. My collection is actually in the proces of decreasing. I'm using the funds to help pay off my debt. I also have too many electronics. I need to get rid of them also.I think it is time to start e-baying stuff.

Talking to Walls at Speech Competitions
I first became familiar with this phenomenon when I first started going to speech competitions in high school. Those were fun places to go and I saw a lot of great speeches by my friends and by people I didn't even know. My brother competed in several of these tournaments and placed. Anyways, while I was playing the sims online, I saw a lot of the characters talking to mirros on the wall to build up their charisma. I wonder what other little quirks I'll find.
