Money Transfer Woes
The damn banks charge way too freakin much for their services. I was having money tranferred from Switzerland. The originator wanted to transfer a certain amount to me and have the fees charged to her. We wanted a certain amount to end up in my bank account. Sureley enough the next day, there was a large sum added to my account. Anyways it wasn't as much as it was supposed to be. After a little investigation I found out that the US counterpart of the Swiss Bank charged 7% of the amount that was supposed to be deposited. And then my bank charged me 3% of the original total. That's 10% of the whole amount. I wonder if the first bank will charge the originator as well. Damn banks are robbing us blind.

UFO Catcher
What we know as the crane game, where we can catch stuff toys with an cheap claw, is known as a UFO Catcher in Japan. Anyways today after watching the Two Towers and heading to Splash Cafe for a bite to eat, I spent a couple bucks on one machine trying to get a wintertime Curious George. I saw my machine on my way back to the car. I happened to have a couple quarters in my pocket and tried the game twice. I was able to grab it the first time, but it dropped when the crane hit the top. It was in a good position to be grabbed. I tried me second turn and it grabbed it, but it dropped when it hit the top again. This time it was in a bad position. I ran out of quarters and headed back to my car to get two more. I couldn't get a good grab and then went back to the car to get more. I couldn't do it again so I gave up. I was trying to get it for a friend of mine because she likes Curious as much as I do.

Back to the Future...finally
Back to the Fuure finlly came out on DVD. I have been waiting for it since the original release date back in June of 2000. Now it is December 2002, two and a half years since the original plan. That means I have been waiting for about 3 years to obtain this set. I couldn't wait so I went onto E-bay over a year and a half ago to get VCD cersions of the trilogy. the problem with the release was with legal problems with Eric Stoltz (sp?) and trying to cram all sorts of goodies onto the 3 disc set to make the wait worth while. I've already gone through two of the three discs and am thoroughly satisfied.
Best buy was doing this promotion where the first 70 or so people get a free watch with the DVD. The store opened at 9am and I got out of work at 3pm.I was worried that I wasn't gonna get one. The watches were actually packaged with some of the DVDs. so when I got there, there was one or two left with the watch packaged with them. Either way I was gonna buy the set. In the end I was able to get my DVDs and the watch. Oh what a happy day.

Rearranging
I rearranged my entertainments systems (notice the 's') today because the sound didn't add up. The TV has been a little offset to the center of sound, but I have now corrected it. And with the rearangement I think I have creted mroe space to put things. Now what will I have to buy to put in the empty places. No wait. I need to stop thinkng like that. I need to stop spending money.
