Lost DVD
This morning, on our way out the door, I reminded my roommate to not forget the Barbershop DVD we had rented the night before at Blockbuster. We got to the car and drove off so that we could pick up one more person before going to LA. Halfway to that person's house, he remembers that he forgot his passport--his only identification. So we head back, now with 3 people in the car, and I'm on the phone the whole while, and sudden;y he remembers the DVD. He had forgotten about it on top of the car on our first trip. we backtracked along the 2 block route and didn't find it. The DVD fell of of the car somewhere along the way/ I sure hope whoever found it went and returned it.
Universal Studios
Having an annual pass to Universal is great. I try to go as often as I can. there are always different things going on especiall on the weekdays; the time when most shows and movies are beign filmed. We were in for a treat this weekend because through certain connections, we were able to see the set of 'Anger Management' starring Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson. I would imagine that this would be a comedy. The Fast and the Furious 2, and the Cat in the Hat were also being filmed that day.
The studio tour today also included new content (new sets). I make sure to ride the studio tour to see what kind of htings are being filmed on the back lot. Too bad, Jurassic Park: the Ride is down for a couple weeks.

Very Positive Comment Card
I had heard about this comment card that totally praised me for quite some time, yet I had never read it until today. I do remember who this guest was. Check out what she write about me below.
- I was very much impressed withe Benedict. He took my reservation over the phone. He was not only intelligent & competent, but friendly/pleasant in a non-fake/insincere way. He seemed genuinely nice and actually liked his job. I asked him if I could bring my suitcases by in the morning and have them there until I checked in later in the day. He said certainly. I showed up at 7:50am the next day and Benedict remembered me and my request to store my luggage. He showed me where to put them and I told him I would be back around 3:00 to check in. He told me he would probably have a room available around 1:00-2:00pm and I could check in there -- which was great because my husband had dropped me off, taken the car to go to a business meeting, so I was suck wandering around on foot in SLO for the next 7 hours. When I checked in about 2:45, Benedict asked me if I had a room preference, or floor prefereance. I asked for a "room with a view" and that's what I got. Benedict also told me to wait a few minutes at the front desk as the kitchen staff was bringing out freshly baked cookies--and boy were they delicious.
I aksed Benedict to tell my husband which room I was in when he cheked in around 5:30pm. Benedict said he would not be on duty,, but that he would write a note to inform the other person and he asked for my husband's name to include in the note. when I checked out this AM, there was Benedict -- friendly & charming as ever! he has terrific people skills.

P.S.Forgot one more thing. When I was leaving, Beneidct informed me about the room rate special you're having next week--which is great because my husband might be coming back to SLO for business again at that time.
I would like to say thank you. And I wish more people would actually write out positive comment cards!

New Codes
Today we were issued new codes for the key making machine at the hotel. Each person has their own pin to make keys. so anyways I got my new code today because everyone's old one got wiped out. When it was time for me to leave during midshift, I totally forgot to tell the next person about that. And because he was the only one at the hotel he was shit out of luck. I heard the phone ring when I got home but I didn't pick it up becuase I thought it was a telemarketer. But I then remembered about the key codes. I immediately called the hotel and it turned out that he already had 4 people in line waiting. He had apparently called some others. I found this situation really hilarious. The new key codes was a "reall good idea." I had to give him my new key code which I had already memorized. this blog was prompeted by the person on the next shift. I had to give her my code also.

Hot Air
i walked out of my appartment this morning just before 7am and a gust of hot wind hit me. I knew today was going to be hot. But this is still the first week of January. It's supposed to be freexzing and whatnot. where is the snow and ice? These seasons are getting all screwed up.

Second Birthday
Today we had a second birthday for Fuminori at Yamato in Grover Beach. this was a really popular place because we rant into many people that I knew there. It was really funny because they did this funky Happy Birthday thing for everyone with a birthday. At the restaurant I had really good Yakiniku. because most of the workers were Korean, they really knew how to cook it. Mmm mm good. Will there be a third birthday celebration for him.
