As we were watching TV tonight, I saw my Army unit on the news. They were getting ready to go to the Middle East. I am so glad that I wasn't called to go.

This is my 3rd time in LA this week. Why do I come here so often? At least I am not alone.

It is almost 1:30am and I am still waiting. They said 5-7 days from the interview. Now the count is 2-4 days. I can't wait!

Relieved
I totally got through 3 rounds of interviews tonight. There were about 100 people to begin with during the orientation. I guess the orientation was to give the interviewers time to thumb through all the applications. All the while filling our heads with information about Skywest. One hour later, they told us that they would break us for 15 minutes and at the end of those 15 minutes only 26 names would be posted on the door to be allowed in. I was fortunate to be one of those people.
Round 2 was an unexpected "answer-the-question-that-you-pick-out-of-a-hat-in-front-of-strangers" kind of deal. my question had to do with having been in in an emergency situation. I told them that working in a hotel, I had experienced a couple and told them about it. At the end of this, they said they were only listing 10 or so names after the break.
We were all so nervous and they took longer than 20 minutes to finally post the final 13 names. These were now one on one interviews. I was so scared, but I braved it and pretended like I was relaxed all the way through. I feel pretty confident about all of this. But I still can't imagine myself as a flight attendant!
Meeting New People
There were so many people in the meeting room. Most were beautiful women, and some were already flight attendants with different companies. I'm guessing that some were from United. There were only a couple of guys and I was the only one to make it to the final round. I sat next to a really friendly Filipino girl. I was really nervous and didn't want to talk or anything. I jsut wanted this group interview to be over with..But she spoke up and asked me how I found out about it. I told her that a Skywest Employee had just stayed at the htoel and told me that the company was hiring. She had found out about it from the paper. I also got a little info fron her. She had come out from New Jersey with her sister to California. I gave her a little briefing on my busy life. She was kind of surprised.I wanted to ask her for her phone number, but I was too shy. Both of us had gotten through all 3 rounds and at the end after my interview, and while she was waiting for hers, she gave me her e-mail and info. I guess my shyness paid off. Hmm, I wonder if I will call her?

Hollywood
Today we saw more filming in downtown LA. There was a buring helicopter that had crashed on the street. And one block down, there were camereas filming actors walk across the street. This is not the first time that I have seen these down here in the same spots.

Fuminori was so happy today to see a park in downtown LA. He finally realized that the park we passed by was the same park he was having troubles on in the video game. I thought it was pretty cool also.
