Not Spending Money
I overcame all urges this last couple of days to not spend money. Today I was at CalPoly's Open House and there was a lot of good food at the booths set up by the clubs. There was tri-tip, BBQ, Japanese, Chinese, Filipino, and all sorts of other good stuff. But I walked around and admired the sites and chatted with some friends. That was enough for me. After that, I headed to Santa Maria. To Toys R Us to be exact. I spent about an hour in there and almost bought some stuff, but I decided to put them down. I was pretty proud after that. Maybe I can go the whole weeknd without spending money.

No Left Turns
I hate not being able to make a left turn. San Francisco is a city full of "No Left Turn" signs, unless you are turning from a one way street onto a one way street. It takes almost forever to finally find a one way to one way so you would have to make 3 right turns to make a left. But all-in-all, getting lost in San Framcisco is pretty fun. One can find all sorts of things that they would otherwise not see if they stuck to the usual streets. I'd say that 80% of the streets in SF are no left turn. Well maybe more like 70%.

Off Road
After watching Bulletproof Monk, Martin and I went to the beach at around 9:15pm to do some off road driving on the sand. I guess we drove about 10 miles down before turning around and picking the best spots to do some spins and jumps. At one point we were backing up for a while, then hit a really high sand ledge and lost a couple of the splash guards. And another time, we drove forward really fast and hit another really steep ledge. We thought the front end got screwed up, but it ended up only being the license plate being bent backwards. Maybe we'll do this again in 2 or 3 days.
