The Long Wait
I went to the clinic to get a physical today. Their hours were 10-4pm and I got there at 10:15am. I thought that by getting there early, I wouldn't have to wait that long. But I ended up waiting an hour and a half to ge ta physical that took me about 15 minutes to complete. This physical is the second to last document that I need before I could send out my paperwork to Skywest. The last is a recommendation that I need signed before I cna esnd everything out. I had my fingerprints done yesterday and physical today, and finished up the others the other day. I guess tha tI'm really excited about doing this. I got my stuff together so fast.
Express Mail
I sent my stuff out today via express mail. It needs to be there by monday and FedEx and UPS are closed today so USPS was the way to go.

Big Disappointment
Today was one of the biggest trips that I have done in a while at the English school. I had 26 people today to go out on our weekly Friday trip. Our trip this wek was whale watching in Morro Bay. It was supposed to be a 2.5 hour trip where we go way out into the ocean to spot these large animals. But as we started out and exited the bay, we were starting to go through some large swells. Everyone was supposed to hold on to the railing, but Kanako kept waking around and almost falling over the edge. i kept telling her to hold one, but she didn't want to listen. It was probably her fault that we had to turn around. I was pretty sure that once we pass those swells, it would have been smooth sailing. But I guess the captain thought it was unsafe to take these people that don't listen way out there. So we headed back and did a "Bay Cruise" which was just sailing around the bay where we saw some birds sea otters and boats. That's it. Everyone was so disappointed.

Breakfast Coke
Today is the second day tha tI have been having Coke for breakfast. I don't know why I am drinking soda in the morning. Yesterday it was because I had nothing else in my refrigerator. But today is a mystery! I need to get myself back into a healthy routine.

Two Week Notice
I handed in my two week notice to the hotel today. No more Holiday Inn Express for me as of May 20, 2003. It was a little difficult to turn it in. I had showed it to Dianna, the sales coordinator, and she was giving me a hard time all morning about it. When Marie came in, she started cracking jokes which referred to my quitting, but Marie thought they were innocent comments like, "What would we do without him?" or "Glad we have him with us." That made it ever so hard to turn in the letter. But my 3 years at the hotel were a great experience. I have met many people and have learned many things, but now it is time for me to move on to helping others.

Oversleeping
Today was the first time in a long time, that I overslept. My oversleeping resulted in my being 30 minutes late to work. I set 2 alarms always, but I guess I was so tired that I didn't hear them. I was up really late chatting away with a friend until 2am. The both of us chatted until the both of us got really really sleepy. we had a lot to talk about, but unfortunately, I had to go to work at 7am, but she had class at 12:00 noon. i wish it were the other way around.

Free Food: Day 4
OK. now I really know I am going to be fat. for dinner today, I went to Rocky's again. The new workers didn't know who I was and tried to give me the pre ordered stuff. I went ahead and ordered from the menu anyways. We had a salad, chips, a quesadilla appetizer, and my main dish was Salmon with a pesto rub on a bed of fettuccini (sp?). I couldn't even finish 1/3 of my salmon. It was so big. Customers will definitely get their money's worth at Rocky's. I alreadyt have because I got a lot of free food and have spent $0.
X-men Double Deuce
I don't know why, but i saw X-men again today. Today is monday and the last time I saw it was last friday, only 3 days earlier! i think that 2 is enough. I just can't wait until Matrix opens up next wednesday.

Disappointment
After working the audit last night and getting up after 3.5 hours of sleep, I awoke at 10:50 to find some startling messages on my computer.A friend of mine that I was supposed to meet left me a message at 9:50am saying that she couldn't meet me becuase she ws feeling dizzy and not so well from the night before. Actually, I woke up before my alarm went off because I was excited to meet this person outside a professional context. We were supposed to meet at 11:45 or so at Rocky's, a new restaurant that is taking the place of Izzy's.
More and More Free Food
Friday I had free Tsurugi, yesterday I had free Foster's, and now I have free Rocky's. And the funny thing is that I am eating with the same person, Dr. Asai. I was invited by the manager to help out in the practice run before the grand opening. I was able to order from the menu rather than the little cards that everyone else was handed. Knowing people really has it's privelages. So anyways, Rocky's has a pretty good menu. Lunch is a little limited though. I can't wait for dinner tomorrow. That's right, there will be a fourth day of free food.
