Tall Grass
I spent a couple hours today cutting the lawn, and the tall grass in the ret of the yard. And I'm still not finished. When I say tall grass, I mean like a foot or even a foot and a half tall. Our yard is hella big amd there is grass everywhere. My mom had recieved a notice from the county to cut the grass because it was a fire hazard. The lawn mover worked very well, but I had a hard time with the weed whacker. That thing did not want to start.
Just Wrong
There was a dinner tonight put on by the church for the festival of Antipollo tonight. The mass at church was at 5:30, but we didn't get there until 6:10. My mom made the comment that we were late for the misa (mass), but early for the mesa (dinner). And when we did eat, we left early, like 50% of the other church goers did.

Graduation
Well there goes my little brother. He has earned a BA degree in Molecular Cell Biology from UC Berkeley, the top public university in the United States. My sister should graduate next year. As for me, I don't know yet. There wil be one more graduation on Sunday for all of the Filipinos.
Mending Relationships
As my family and I were walking towards the Graduation Ceremony, my sister spots a girl, taht she doesn't like. She whispers, "I hate that girl." Then they started talking, and talking, and talking. I kind of hear some things in their conversation. I figure out that the other girl is taking the first step in mending a relationship with my sister. Apparently my sister is not the only one she hsa beef with. There are about 5 others. One reason that the girl started talking to my sister is that she was drunk. What a good way to initiate talks. But at least they started some dialogue.

I take it back...
I take back working that is. Earlier today I got a call from Marie at the hotel asking me to return my shirts. On my way out the door, I got a call from the hiring person at Skywest, and she tells me that my fingerprints have not been cleared yet so she couldn't issue me an employee ID number and I wouldn't be able to take the class on the 29th. Damn. So anyways I head to the hotel to return my shirts. I tell them what happened and got rehired for a while. It's a little hard not working when the economic situation doesn't allow it.

Cartoons
When i was younger, I thought adults were not able to see cartoons. Then one day my mom was watching with me and asking questions and I realized she could see and understand them. I thought that was just wierd!

Another Chapter Comes to an End
Well.. after my last day at the hotel, comes my last day teaching at CCLA. But that does not mean I will not be going there anymore. I will definitely stick around. Taht is why I wish to be stationed here in SLO. I would like to still be a part of the school.
Eating Dinner Twice
I ended up eating dinner twice today. I had made plans to eat at Farmer's Market with Dr. Asai today. While there we had Giant Cheeseburgers from McKlintock's. As we finished our burgers, we made our way down he street and ran into Tetsu, Aya, and Yukiko who were on their way to Tsurugi. We decided to join them. Tetsu was the only one that was really gonna eat, but since I was already there, I decided to eat some Udon noodles. I am still so full.

Cleaning all day
Been cleaning my room all day. I've found a lot of stuff that I don't really need. I am such a packrat. My whole family likes to keep things so we have a lot of stuff. Maybe junk to you, but it is treasure to us. I wonder how much longer it'll take me to get my room straightened up.

Last Duty
Today was the infamous last day at the hotel. First it was days, then it became hours, and then it was on to minutes left. Then 0 hour hit and I lingered for about half an hour before clocking out for the last time. But before that, my last duty was to call a frequent customer whom I know by name and also knows me by name. She was glad that I had called her to let her know about her last problem. She told me that she hoped that we could meet on the plane when she comes to SLO. She also offered me a job with her company if I ever need one. it's great to have contacts all over the place.
A Nice Gesture
I went outside to take my laundry out of the washer to put into the dryer. And on my way in, I noticed a plate on my chair. My roommate's girlfriend had cut up some apples and kiwis and gave some to me. There were 3 apple slices and 4 kiwi slices carefully arranged on the plate with a fork on the side. I wish I had my own girlfriend to do that for me and my friends.

Spice is nice!!!
I ate some great indian food tonight. Whenever I walk into any Indian restaurant, the overwhelming smell is jsut so nice. I have been craving indian food for the last several weeks and have not found the time until tonight to go. I love eating naan, their special flatbread cooked in special ovens right in the restaurant. I was commenting to my friend that Indian food smeels really great coming in, but at the same time it will also smell "great" going out. Hahaha.
Matrix Again
I went and saw the Matrix Reloaded again. It was great this time, because I knew what to look for. I mainly looked at backgroud things this time around. I noticed stuff that was off to the side, but would take play a little later on. And I even was able to focus on the details of conversations rather than getting the basic idea. I guess 3 times will do it for me.

Super Ben to the Rescue
today I saved a little birdie at the hotel. It had flown into the breakfast bar and got stuck up near the ceiling. It was trying to fly through the window, but was blocked by glass. I couldn't reach it because it was too high, so I went to the swimming pool and for the net. I then tried to use this to catch the bird, but it didn't work. The bird eventually came down after my failure in netting it.
It was a little hard to catch wen it was on the ground. It keppt flying jsut out of my way and under the couches and tables. I had the door open, but it kept going past it. But eventually I caught it in the corner and brought it outside. I think that the bird was a little injured because it was running into the wall and could not fly so well. But eventually, it did go away.
