Soda and Sweets
I know some of you out there have drunken soda and eaten candy at the same time. Have you ever seen what happens when candy is eaten with soda. Try dropping an M&M into a bottle of Sprite. This would be a good illustration. The sugar in the candy reacts to the soda and creates a lot of carbon dioxide. When parents warn us about this, they are doing it for good reason.
Another thing to think about is the taste of soda when you are eating candy. When you are just drinking soda, you can taste jsut the soda. But when you are eating candy and drinking soda, you have 2 different sweet tastes competing on your tongue. the candy usually wins and the soda will not taste like it should. Try this out some time. I had this happen recently and had some chips available. I ate a Starburst fruit chew and then drank some Sprite. The Sprite taste was totally messed up. I then had a potato chip (something salty to cleanse my palate) then drank the Sprite again and VOILA! the regular Sprite taste was back.

Old Friends
Today, I just wanted to go to Best Buy to buy something, but I decided to walk through the mall. When I was walking, I noticed my friend from high school, Eden. He was walking toward me. since I had moved back here, I was looking for some of my old friends. He was one of those I was looking for. And some of the other people I was looking for are regulars at his place. It's always pretty good to catch up with old friends.

Bad Luck Day
I started off this morning really early because we had an early show in Chico. The guy up front offered me some hot apple cider and I couldn't resist. I ended up burning my tongue. I spent the rest of my day with a burnt tongue. And during flight, weather causes us to fly a holding pattern for a while. But after I get back to Fresno, I have to drive 2 hours to get home. Once I got home, I was gonna play some video games. I was working on a title called Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. But as I go to turn on my video game system, all of my game save data was erased. I had spent at elast 20 hours working on the game. I was about halfway through it. It turns out that my brother inadvertently erased it. The cause was that he couldn't read Japanese and the system had asked him if he wanted to format the memory card. He had clicked yes. I was totally pissed off because it also had the saved games from all of my other games too.

Holiday work
It sucks to have been called out on my days off. since I was called out to work today and tomorrow, I only have one day off this week. with htis job, my days off are precious because I can actually go home. When I am working, I overnight in many places which means far away from home. But it's all OK because I get paid overtime today and tomorrow.
